Why do we inspect cap seals ?
Induction cap sealing is widely used for packaging in many industries. The quality control of bottle cap sealing is a very important step during bottled product's processing line to assure that the products are safe to transport and store.
This applies to numerous products, including pharmaceutical, food, beverages, cosmetics, detergents, disinfectants, and pesticides among other examples. The assurance of the seal effectiveness is particularly relevant when products are potentially harmful to humans or the environment.
Partial, weak, or warped seals will cause leakage which corrupts product quality and, in some cases like pesticide bottles, threatens people's health.
During the aluminum induction seal process, lots of factors will influence the seal integrity.
Our solutions
Our system adopts a high-grade thermal imaging camera to capture the heat profile on the cap and transmit to the host machine. The Ai-powered vision inspection software analyzes the images, detect the defective products and then command the rejection unit to kick off every unqualified product automatically to the recycle bin, which are later collected by workers to re-pack up.
The method is non-invasive, automated, and can be integrated with common conveyor belts currently used in industrial plants.
Inspection Category
The machine dectects a rich variety of defects, related to either the cap or seal liners.
